My experience is that most business owners don’t really know what’s in their tax returns there’s nothing wrong with that. So the first thing that you should do is go to your accountant or your CPA, whoever prepared your return, and have them look at that, ask them for their advice.
Only in those cases where there’s a problem or a potentially serious problem do you necessarily need to see a lawyer. Some clients know immediately, they’ve got a problem and then it’s important that you go to a lawyer first; because while the client and the lawyer have an attorney/client relationship, there is no accountant client privilege.
